- Hi,
-
- Having a little problem with AWeb 1.0. I only post it here in case this is a
- problem that others may have also. I was using versions of AWeb previous to
- 1.0, with no problem at all. I was very pleased when version 1.0 came out.
- However, AWeb 1.0 worked for me for a few days after I first installed it. I
- deleted the previous releases of AWeb. It seemed like AWeb was slowing down or
- not being able to find websites from the previous hotlist. I just blamed it on
- slow Internet access when the Internet gets busy. About 5 days ago, AWeb was
- not able to find any sites at all or even to find TCP. Any requests for a site
- on the hotlist or even a site entered manually (URL), would give me the
- message "Looking up..." and then nothing happened. I deleted the entire AWeb
- directory and re-installed it (saving my hotlist and reinstalling it also). It
- did not help, AWeb cannot find my ISP. I can quit AWeb (or not quit) and run
- IBrowse and it has no problem accessing the Web, while AWeb just sits there
- saying it is "Looking Up"
-
- Does anyone have a clue about what is wrong here. Did I forget to delete a
- library or file somewhere. Do I still need to use hackkeymap ? I am using a
- A1200 w68030 @40MHz and 68882 FPU @ 50 MHz and a 28.8 modem and 10 MB RAM.
-
- Any help appreciated!!!

- Never Mind!!!! Later reading of newsgroups found the problem. Evidently I
- can't open AWeb on it's own Public Page. It only works on the default public
- page. Great program, tiny flaw ;-)
